Welcome E Komo Mai
Our Hula school in Christchurch practices Hawaiian - Tahitian - Maori and Samoan Dances
We specialize in Hawaiian Hula both Kahiko (ancient) and Auana (modern)
For many, the hula represents the romance of the islands.
Swaying palms and swaying hips have inspired singers, songwriters and visitors to the islands for decades.
Hawaiian dance comes from the heart and soul of the Hawaiian people.
It is performed at the most special of occasions. It can also be in different forms including ancient chants with hula implements, moving or seated & contemporary choreography dances to songs with music.
Whatever the form or content of the piece, the performer does it with the love, respect, sincerity and compassion for all involved in the Hawaiian culture.
The Aloha spirit is a way of life lived not only in dance, but in every day life.
Hula is The language of the Heart and therefore the heartbeat of the Hawaiian People
